Sonnino area

The territory of Sonnino and of our fruit

De Gregoris farm is situated in Sonnino plain, exactly in Capocroce where the territory altitude begins to rise from the sea level of Amaseno river that flows near our farm, to 1090 m of Monte delle Fate, the highest mountaintop of Monti Ausoni, a pre-Appennine chain. Our olive groves reach out especially along this characteristic hill territory enriched by live oak woods, myrtle and the typical "stramma", all plants of mediterranean soil.

The distinguishing stones wall, called "macere" give to Sonnino area, a natural hill landscape that characterized the age-old history of the olive plants, inestimable heritage of our territory.

Thanks to the laborious work of farmers, who even now cultivate in pleasant but narrow places.

This inevitable hard work is repayed by the typical yellow-green colour of Sonnino olive oil, that is De Gregoris olive oil.
